ECHO Labs was founded in 2022 by Erik O'Bryant as an organization where those interested in cutting-edge science and engineering could gather to discuss ideas and carry out small research projects. Initially, these projects were scattered in purpose and field, and the name ECHO was meaningless until the Lab pivoted to focus on experimental cybernetics and human optimization in 2025. This pivot lead to the officiation of ECHO Labs as a private research group, with Jaymison Parillo joining on as the co-founder.
Now, the primary goal of ECHO Labs is the continuous improvement of the human condition via technological and scientific advancement. We believe that cybernetic enhancement is the ultimate means of progress for our species, and many of our projects focus on integrating technology into the human system, on both the individual and societal scale.
